Bookings and payments
How do I book an experience?
You can book by sending us an enquiry through the contact or quote form. Tell us the type of experience you want, the period you are considering, the number of participants and any specific requirements.
A deposit is generally required to confirm your booking. You will then receive a confirmation email with all the practical details.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Payment terms are specified in the quote or booking confirmation. Depending on the service, payment may be made by Bancontact and bank card.
For certain services, a deposit may be required on booking, with the balance payable according to the conditions stated in the quote or booking confirmation.
Can I pay in instalments?
Payment in instalments may be considered depending on the amount, type of service and time remaining before the planned date. This option must be approved before the booking is confirmed.
Can I give an experience as a gift?
Yes. Certain experiences can be offered as a gift or personalised project. Contact us to define the format, preferred period and comfort level suited to the recipient.
Cancellations and changes
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation conditions depend on the type of service, scheduled date, equipment reserved, costs already incurred and any providers engaged. The applicable terms are specified in the quote, booking confirmation or terms and conditions.
Can I change the dates of my booking?
A change of date may be considered subject to availability, logistical feasibility and prior agreement from Off-Trail Experience. Depending on the notice period and equipment committed, the quote may need to be adjusted.
What happens in bad weather?
In adverse but non-dangerous weather, the experience may be adapted. If conditions affect participant safety, we may offer a postponement, change to the programme or an alternative solution.
Preparation and equipment
What equipment is provided during the experiences?
The equipment provided depends on the selected service. Depending on the experience, Off-Trail Experience may provide tents, bedding, camping equipment or specific logistical equipment.
What should I pack?
Bring clothing suited to the weather, comfortable footwear, a water bottle, head torch, personal belongings and protection from cold or rain. A more detailed list may be provided before departure.
Are the experiences suitable for beginners?
Yes. Some experiences are designed to be accessible to people with little outdoor experience. It is important, however, to tell us your level and any constraints so that we can offer a suitable package.
Safety and guidance
Who are your guides and tour leaders?
Experiences are prepared or supervised by people familiar with the outdoor world, terrain constraints, bivouac organisation and the logistics required for this type of activity.
Are the experiences safe?
Preparation, logistics and safety are taken into account before every service. Participants must nevertheless follow the instructions provided and behave appropriately in the natural environment.
What should I do if there is a problem during the experience?
Inform the guide or designated contact immediately. Depending on the situation, the experience may be adapted, stopped or reorganised to protect the safety of participants, equipment and the environment.
